Zero Depreciation

This cover pays the amount of depreciation deducted on the value of parts replaced under own damage claim
  • Tata Aig:  The cover is available for vehicles up to 8 years old and operates for maximum 2 claims during the policy period
Note: Voluntary and Compulsory Excess are deductible as per normal practice 
  • Special Conditions applicable to this cover in addition to the General Conditions: 
  • A claim where replacement of any part is not involved and no depreciation is deducted under own damage claim, will not be considered as claim under this cover. 
Vehicle is repaired at any of our Authorized Garage / Authorized workshop / Authorized service station. 

Consumable Expenses

Things covered
 
The company covers the cost of consumables required to be  replaced/replenished arising from an accident to the insured vehicle. 
Consumable for the purpose of this cover shall include engine oil, gear box oil, lubricants, nut & bolt, screw, distilled water, grease, oil filter, bearings, washers, clip, break oil, air conditioner gas and items of similar nature excluding fuel.

Things Which are not covered

Any consumable not associated with admissible Own Damage claim under section I (Own Damage) of the policy.
If there is no valid and admissible claim under section I (Own Damage) of the policy.

Engine Secure

  • This Add-on pays for repair and replacement expenses or damage to -
  1. Internal parts of the engine
  2. Gear Box, Transmission or Differential Assembly
  • Provided loss or damage is due to ingress of water in the engine or leakage of lubricating oil from engine / respective assembly.
  • It also pays for the lubricating oils / consumables used in the respective assembly i.e. material, such as engine oil, gear box oil etc. but excluding fuel.
  • For the purpose of  this cover only, we have created another segment ULTRA HIGH END. Any vehicle with IDV at Rs.30,00,000 or more shall be charged as per rates of Ultra High End segment for this cover.
  • The cover can be allowed up to the vehicle age of 10 years.
  • The cover is available with Deductible only.
  • The deductible applicable is as under:
  1. 5% of the claim amount in case of repair
10% of the claim amount in case of replacement of parts

Special conditions (Claim under this endorsement will be admissible only if):

Visible evidence of accidental damage to engine or respective assembly
There is an evidence of vehicle being submerged or stopped in a water logged area
Vehicle is transported / towed to garage within 2 (Two) days of water receding from the water logged area


Exclusions:

Loss or damage covered under manufacturer warranty; recall campaign or forming part of maintenance / preventive maintenance.
Any aggravation of loss or damage including corrosion due to delay in intimation to us and / or retrieving the vehicle from water logged area.
Ageing, depreciation, wear and tear. 

Return to Invoice

  • Return to invoice cover will pay the financial shortfall between the amount receivable under section 1 of the policy and the purchase price of the vehicle/Current invoice price (whichever is less in case the vehicle is declared a Total Loss or a Constructive Total Loss.
  • In case the same vehicle make and model is available at a lower price than the purchase price, then the lower price will be considered for arriving at the differential amount.
  • This Cover also reimburses first time registration charges and road tax on the insured vehicle.

NCB Protection

Protects the NCB of the insured even if he/she claims during the policy in-force period

Eligibility for the cover:
  • NCB is >= 25% and No claim in previous 2 years OR
  • Brand new car with NCB reserving of >= 25%
Benefit:
  • The NCB as per policy is  allowed provided renewal of policy is done with us within 90 days of expiry  of the policy 
Other Highlights:
  • NCB is protected in case of  1 OD claim during the policy period
  • Claims on Windscreen/ rear glass / door glasses / sun-roof glass, partial theft of accessories / parts will not be considered as a claim under this benefit. 
Theft of vehicle will not be considered a TL/CL and if a new motor vehicle is purchased and insured with us within 90 days of the theft the same NCB will be applicable. 


Tyre Cover

  • Expenses for repair and / or replacement will be covered, as may be necessitated arising out of accidental loss or damage to tyres and tubes. 
  • Whenever replacement of tyre will be allowed it will be of the same make and specification and if tyre of similar specification is not available and replaced tyre is superior to damaged tyre then company will not be liable for betterment charges. 
  • Maximum of 4 (four) replacements will be allowed during the Period of insurance.
  • The cover is available on  two basis- Full replacement and Depreciation basis. We shall offer this cover on Full Replacement Basis only.
  • We shall allow this cover only for brand new High End vehicles.  Except this the cover can only be offered  subject to approval from Corporate Underwriters only.

Key replacement

  • Covers the cost to replace vehicle keys if the same are lost/stolen and locks and keys both if the vehicle is broken into
  • Break-in Protection – cover will reimburse the cost of replacing locks and keys if  Vehicle is broken into. Covered costs include the labor cost for replacing the lock. 

  • Available:
  1.  Even if there is no valid claim under policy
  2.  Sum Insured choices Rs. 65,000/- and Rs. 25,000/- 
  • Limits:
  1. Per occurrence claim limit of 50% of SI
  2. Cost to replace keys to vehicles that are not for personal use will not be covered

An official police report that confirms the incident happened within the period of insurance



Repair of Glass, Fibre, Plastic & Rubber Parts

A claim for only Glass/plastic/rubber/fiber part where You opt for repairs rather than replacement, at our authorised workshops/authorised dealers/authorised service stations will not affect Your No Claim Bonus eligibility at the time renewal with Us provided number of such claim does not exceed one and there is no other claim for damage to the vehicle during the period of insurance.

What is not Covered:

Cost of painting of parts without any other repair associated with these parts

Loss of Personal belongings

  • We will pay for the loss or damage to Your and Your Family member’s personal belongings caused by perils mentioned under section 1 of the policy while they are in the vehicle at the time of loss or damage to the vehicle. 

  • Personal belongings for the purpose of this section means items such as clothes and other articles of personal nature likely to be worn, used or carried and includes audio/video tapes, CDs but excludes money, securities, cheques, bank drafts, credit or debit cards, jewellery, lens, glasses, travel tickets, watches, valuables, manuscripts, paintings and items of similar nature. Any goods or samples carried in connections with any trade or business is not covered.

  • A police report must be filed for claims due to burglary, house-breaking or theft.

Any claim under this section will be admissible only when there is a valid and admissible claim in respect of the vehicle arising out of the same accident. The insured will bear first Rs. 250 of each and every claim under this section.
*Gold and Cash will not be covered under this claim 

Emergency Transport & hotel expenses

This cover is applicable if it is shown on your schedule. 

This cover pay towards the cost of overnight stay and taxi charges for returning back to Your place of residence or the nearest city You are traveling to if Your motor vehicle has met with an accident by any of the peril mentioned under section 1 of the policy and cannot be driven. 

Any claim under this section will be admissible only when there is a valid 

 Special conditions applicable to this benefit

  • Insured is the first registered owner of the motor vehicle.
  • The vehicle is not imported.
  • The finance company/bank whose interest is endorsed on the policy must agree in writing. 

The cover does not indemnify any losses arising in case of:

  • Total Loss / CTL and theft claim is not admissible under section 1 of the policy
  • Any non-built in electric/electronic and non-electrical/ electronic accessories including bi-fuel kit forming part of the invoice but not insured 
  • Final investigation report in case of theft claim is not issued by Police authorities
  • Final investigation report in case of theft claim is not submitted
  • Covered vehicle is imported
  • Stolen vehicle is recovered within 90 days

Road Side Assistance

Service for Flat Tyre :
In the event insured Vehicle is immobilized due to a flat tyre, you will get the assistance of a vehicle technician to replace the flat tyre with the spare stepney tyre of the Vehicle at the location of breakdown. In case the spare tyre is not available in the insured Vehicle, the flat tyre will be taken to the nearest flat tyre repair shop for repairs & re-attached to the Vehicle. All incidental charges for transporting the tyre to the repair shop and its repair cost shall be borne by you. 


Flat Battery – Jump Start Service:
In the event insured Vehicle is immobilized, due to rundown battery, you will get the assistance of a Vehicle technician to jump start the Vehicle with appropriate means. If the run down battery has to be replaced with a new battery, the cost of such battery replacement and any costs to obtain the battery will be borne by you. All costs involved in charging of the run down battery will also be borne by you.

Assistance in case of Lockout/ lost keys:
If you have lost your vehicle key or locked it inside the vehicle, we can dispatch a mechanic at the location of the incident and help you either unlock the vehicle without damaging the vehicle or, whenever and wherever possible, help you make a copy of the key or arrange delivery of key set from the place of residence. The cost of replacement of the key will be borne by the customer. 

Fuel Support (Emergency Fuel Delivery):
In the event insured Vehicle runs out of fuel and hence is immobilized, you will get the assistance of emergency fuel (up to 5 ltrs on a chargeable basis) at the location of breakdown. 

SMS Relays/Emergency Message Service: 
In the event of breakdown or accident to your insured vehicle under our policy your urgent messages will be relayed to a person of your choice. 

Continuation / Return Journey (Taxi Support) :
In the event the insured vehicle is immobilized due to a breakdown, outside the municipal/corporation limits of your home city, and the vehicle cannot be repaired the same day, you will get the assistance for arrangement of alternate mode of transport (Taxi) to continue the journey or return to your home town from the location of the breakdown. In the normal course “C” Class vehicles (as per widely used categorization of the automobile industry) will be arranged on a best effort basis. However, in case the same is not available owing to geographical or other constraints, you will be provided the next best class of vehicle available. Taxi fare for the journey will be borne by you and shall be paid directly to the vendor. 

Hotel Accommodation:
In the event insured vehicle is immobilized due to a breakdown which has taken place and cannot be repaired the same day, you will get the assistance in organizing for Hotel accommodation near the location of the event. You will have to bear the cost of stay and you will be informed of the amount to be paid in advance directly to the Hotel. 

Pick up of repaired vehicle:
In the event insured Vehicle suffers an immobilizing breakdown/accident which is outside the limits of your home city, and the vehicle is towed to the nearest garage which determines that the vehicle cannot be repaired the same day, you will get the assistance to pick the vehicle from the location of incident and transport it to the desired location by providing driver facility service after the vehicle is fully repaired. The cost of driver shall be borne by you.

Repair on the spot:
In the event insured Vehicle breaks down due to a minor mechanical / electrical fault making it immobile and immediate repair on the spot is deemed possible, you will get the assistance of a vehicle technician for repairing the breakdown at the location of breakdown. Cost of Material & Spare Parts, if required, to repair the vehicle on the spot and any other incidental conveyance to obtain such material & spare parts will be borne by you. 


Limitation of Roadside Assistance

  • The Services will be provided on a best effort basis, subject to regulations in force locally. 

  • The services would not be provided under following conditions: Acts of God (including exceptional adverse weather conditions), earthquake, fire (not caused by the negligence of either party), war (declared or undeclared), invasion, rebellion, revolt, riot (other than among employees of either party), civil commotion, civil war, acts of terrorism, nuclear fission, strike, act(s) of omission/ commission by any concerned, Government(s), or government agencies, judicial or quasi-judicial authorities. 

  • Loss of or damage to luggage or other personal effects that might occur during the services performance. 

  • The Services will be provided on a best effort basis, subject to regulations in force locally. 

  • The services would not be provided under following conditions: Acts of God (including exceptional adverse weather conditions), earthquake, fire (not caused by the negligence of either party), war (declared or undeclared), invasion, rebellion, revolt, riot (other than among employees of either party), civil commotion, civil war, acts of terrorism, nuclear fission, strike, act(s) of omission/ commission by any concerned, Government(s), or government agencies, judicial or quasi-judicial authorities. 

  • Loss of or damage to luggage or other personal effects that might occur during the services performance.
